This workshop provides insights into skills, techniques and approaches that a facilitator can use when working with groups in problem solving situations to maximize the probability of successful group dynamics.
The workshop will demonstrate how to plan, conduct and review a problem solving session.It will address sensitive topics such as managing expectations, drawing out participants to capture their ideas, managing the group process, interacting with participants to bring out the best each person has to offer, and managing counter productive behavior.Participants will learn specific skills like listening, generating ideas, resolving conflict, and managing resistance that are essential to running a successful problem solving meeting. •To gain insight into the basics of meeting and group dynamics that can be applied to “day-to-day” activities as well as within meetings. •To understand how to use process awareness as a tool and not a weapon. •To learn about the roles and responsibilities associated with meetings. •To investigate the ideation process - generating, building, developing and evaluating ideas. •To explore ways to manage and regulate conflict in meetings. •To learn new approaches to dealing with counter productive behavior. •To learn how to prepare for and follow up meetings.
